Prophecies: Special Messages from God!

Last June in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, an exciting discovery was made at Emerson High School. A construction crew removed some old chalkboards from four of the classrooms and found something amazing! They found chalkboards underneath them that were nearly 100 years old! People got to look at a lot of the lessons that they learned back then. The school is now working to save these boards so people can look at the way kids learned from 100 years ago.

Did you know that Bible prophecies are a lot like the lessons on those old chalkboards? A prophecy [prof–uh-see] is a special message from God. God gave them to us so we can know what He will do and what will happen in the future. But they were hidden long time ago just like the lessons on those blackboards.

God gave His people a lot of prophecies. Some of these special messages may look like they are hard to understand, but God wants you to know what they mean. They’ve been hidden for thousands of years and we’re going to discover the hidden lessons in them just like the contractors discovered the hidden chalkboards. Jesus wants you to get ready before He comes back, just like He wants the adults to get ready. Studying these prophecies is going to help us do just that, so I’ll be writing stuff for you to read too!

“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever,” (Deut. 29:29, emphasis supplied).”

“Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt. 19:13, 14)
