Any interpretation of Bible prophecy that encourages you to delay in preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is false.
In the early ministries to the Jews, there was a marked effort to communicate the nearness of the coming of the kingdom of heaven and the need to prepare for it immediately.
“In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 3:2).
“Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim…From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:12, 13, 17).
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).
We must be ready at all times and no true interpretation of the prophetic Scriptures will testify otherwise.
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matt. 25:13).
